Honey go and shop. No thanks, I'm good!

It’s the Great Singapore Sale here in Singapore. It’s a yearly Shopping event in Singapore and it officially started on Friday and will end on July 26, 2009.

But there’s a global economic crisis going on! Well that’s actually a good reason to shop now because the shops are adding extra discounts to attract shoppers.

We have gotten around $250 dollars shopping vouchers from one of Hubby’s bank so that’s really neat. Hubby told me to buy myself something nice as he doesn’t need anything.

And you know what I said to him?

No,thanks I’m good.

Can you believe that? What am I possessed?

He couldn’t believe it and I almost couldn’t believe what came out of my mouth.

Why would I say that you wonder? The thing is that I really don’t need another hand bag or shoes ( because I just bought one 2 weeks ago Ssshhhh!) Anyway it’s not that I suddenly just don’t want to shop anymore. I still want to shop but not for myself anymore… but I want to spend this free shopping money for my future baby.

mother-feeding-babySo anyway, I am looking at all those baby stuffs like feeding bottles, baby swings, child aviation restraint system baby chair, educational toys and they are not really cheap.

My goodness! I was actually shocked at the prices … I mean with so many things a baby needs. You really need to have a job for all these expenses.

Anyway I am actually still clueless as to what things I should prioritize when buying baby items, would you help me out? Let me know what items should be on the top of my baby shopping list.

Buy some of the essentials first like baby clothes, cloth diapers and a few feeding bottles. All the others can be bought after the baby is born. :)

I was with colleagues today discussing about being preganant as one office mate just announce her positive 7 week pregnancy. She from Peru and one is from India and she told us that it’s against their superstitious beliefs to buy stuff for kids until they’re born…. just an idea..anyway she’s Indian.

Maybe that’s a normal thin when you know something big is coming up and you know another life you’ll be responsible for, right?
