Ewww gross! I don’t like milk at all but I guess this is one of the sacrifices I need to do for my little one/s ( I don’t know yet how many babies I will have, hopefully twins?!).
Milk is an important source of vitamin D, calcium, riboflavin, protein and energy during pregnancy. But I learned that there are also other ways to bulk up the calcium in your diet besides from milk.
Here are some things that provide calcium:
1 cup of yogurt is equivalent to 1 cup of milk
Swiss cheese (260 mg per ounce)
jack cheese (210 mg per ounce)
calcium supplements
green leafy vegetables
Ice cream (176 mg per cup). Yehehyyyy!!!
Yes I love my ice cream, and since I am pregnant now I don’t need to worry about my figure just yet,the phenocal my cousin has been telling me about that I must try seems interesting but I don’t need it now. Maybe after I have given birth next year:)
For now I have the license to eat!

Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!
I’m so happy for you!
Let’s see if I can come by to share your ice-cream. haha…..

Yeay for ice cream! I found that in my last couple of weeks of pregnancy it was one of the only things I could eat that wouldn’t hurt when I ate, because my son was taking up so much room that my doctor said my stomach and organs were all scrunched together!!! Of course this was also the week I gained 7 lbs in 7 days so I was glad that Logan came soon after that!
P.S. Thanks so much for the nice comment on my post about Logan swimming for the first time and saying “oh shoot” haha!
Wow… Congrats… hinay hinay lang sa pagkain ng ice cream… eat healthy foods
Oh when i was pregnant i did not drink milk but my baby is healthy and myself too.
Congratulations….this is very exciting news.
My brother use to be somewhat like you as he would rather die than drink milk. So my mother against her better judgment but the need to get him to drink milk…allowed him to drink chocolate milk
….Of course me being the younger sister thought he was pretending just so he could get chocolate milk which was to us a luxury as there were 7 of us and my parents were very strict about wasting money.
Good luck !
Wow, That good news. Congratulations
you can take calcium if you don’t like milk. anything that lots of calsium.
congrats!
i didn’t like milk too, but i love chocolate. when i was pregnant with my little zoie i drank annum materna chocolate flavor and its ice cold too
take note, you’ll need to take a lot of calcium especially when you’re pregnant. you can research about foods rich with it (calcium) if you really don’t like drinking milk. it’s good for you and the baby.
by the way, i like your site. care to exchange links with my baby’s blog?
have a nice day!
mommy bonz’s last blog post..reminiscin’…
@ mommy bonz – I love chocolate but I cannot drink or eat it as I get crazy break outs:( I am just braving it out and just drinking the freaking milk
Oh yeah I am also eating lots of greens.
done adding you… thanks!
I can’t drink milk. It makes me ILL. There are soooo many other ways (like you said) to get what you need. So don’t suffer through it.
