Skip the childbirth part …

It’s so weird that I dreamt the other night that I have already have a cute little toddler … I totally skipped the giving birth part which of course won’t be happening in real life if I was to become a Momma.

No…they haven’t invented that yet. I wish they did. Of course you could always drugged, wake up and Voila you have a kid!

I am really excited to get pregnant and have a child ( except for the labor part ). In fact whenever I buy a dress I make sure that I can still use it when my belly gets bigger.

Hello! Welcome back to my blog :)

Wordless / Wordful Wednesday: Mother Hen and Baby Chick

Hiya guys! Mommawannabe is back! Hope all of you are well.

We had a blast with our vacation, it was great to be in the farm. So many changes have taken place since we were there last November. My Dutch brother-in-law is now living there with his girlfriend and he’s really loving farm life. They even bought goats and have set up their own vegetable garden. That’s really great because he’s setting a good example for all our workers – we want them to be self sufficient.

We don’t have electricity yet in our farm but we are not totally disconnected with the world. There’s a good mobile connection there because a cell tower is nearby. Anyway, if there was no cell tower there, you could nowadays set up cell towers in your property….yeah I know what you are thinking! So many things are now within reach, almost nothing is impossible nowadays.

While we were visiting each of the tree farms, this mother and child chicken caught my attention. Ain’t it cute, a chicken piggybacking ;) ?

I’ll tell you more in the upcoming days…I need to catch up on my laundry.

Two Piece or One Piece?

Would I wear a two piece swimsuit like the Sauvage Serpent Bikini…hmmm let me think?
blue-two-piece-swimsuit

Sure why not – IF and that’s a big IF …I had the body.

When my dutch family came on a holiday with us to the Philippines – they found it funny to see girls wearing a t-shirt over their swimsuit. They asked me why… my guess was they don’t wanna get dark or they are shy or embarrassed to show off their body.

Women – we shouldn’t try to be embarrassed of our body. No matter what shape we have, flaunt it! But if you are not very comfortable yet, why don’t you try a one piece swimwear.

Two Piece versus One Piece:

One piece swimwear are more comfortable to use. When I wear a two-piece swimsuit, I just constantly worry whether the top is at its place or maybe I am already walking around topless.
While when I wear a one piece -this is something I don’t have to worry about.

This type of swimsuit is also more recommended for girls/women who have baby phat (as I call it) in the tummy. You will feel much more confident and avoid getting annoying remarks as well.

Enjoy the Summer. Sunny days-here we come!

Forgotten and Neglected hobbies

I have acquired so many hobbies over the years. Most of the time I earn something extra from these hobbies which makes it very appealing to me. I was an avid Ebayer while I was living in Holland. I enjoyed it a lot.

precious-rocks And then I discovered jewelery making and got totally hooked as well. I sold my creations through Ebay too and earned quite a few thousand Euros or so.

I still have so much materials from these past hobby of mine. I don’t know yet if I am going to continue this hobby. And to think I was planning to buy some rock tumblers I saw the other month while window shopping.

I just cannot find the time anymore with all my blogging activity, planning other businesses and life.

If you are a beader and have interest in my beading supplies, do contact me. I think I will be selling it really low.

What about you, do you have other hobbies too that are just neglected and taking a back seat at the moment?

Glasses are hot!

cate-blanchett

I used to hate wearing eyeglasses. But I don’t have a choice. I don’t like wearing contact lenses either because they are very risky – next thing you know you are blind.

I am not yet suitable for lasik surgery either so I guess I just need to live with wearing eyeglasses.

Anyway, I stopped thinking and convinced myself that eyeglasses are not stupid. Nowadays wearing eyeglasses are not considered to be geeky anymore. Eyeglasses now comes in cute styles. Lots of spectacles shop have Wide Selection of Eyeglasses that would suit your personality and style.

Some tips on maintaining a your glasses and keep it fab :

1. Take time for a regular eye exam. Nothing ruins your look like squinting!

2. Keep your eyeglasses clean. Nothing spoils your look like dirty lenses. Make a daily ritual of cleaning .

3. Don’t use your shirt to clean your lenses. 50 plus percent of people clean their glasses with their clothing. Dust and particles in clothes can scratch lenses. Use the appropriate disposable cleaning fabric for cleaning.

4. Use your eyeglass case. If you need to take your glasses off, put them in their case. to avoid scratching.

5. Make sure you wear goggles when doing do-it-yourself projects. Sawdust and plaster dust can damge your lenses during cleanup. And if you get paint spatters on your spectacle- to clean it with rubbing or chemicals can damage the lens too.

Why do women buy so many shoes?

devil-jade-wears-pradaHave you ever wondered as a woman why do we have and buy so many shoes ? We know that we already have plenty of shoes that are hardly worn and yet we still go shoe shopping.

Most of the time, women, not all of course, shop with their emotions. They buy shoes when they are feeling down or happy. And they shop for shoes because you can never go wrong with shoes – it will always fit! Our feet does’t change size.

That’s not the same with clothes – if you gain some weight you won’t be able to wear it anymore so that’s not very practical. LOL !

Do you know Imelda Marcos? Of course you do, if not where have you been ? I found it funny when I saw a documentary of her where she said:

They went into my closets looking for skeletons, but thank God, all they found were shoes, beautiful shoes,” a smiling Mrs Marcos said, wearing a pair of locally made silver shoes for the day.

I may have a little Imelda in me although I am more of a shoe bargain hunter. I won’t pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of shoes nor buy shoes that I know I won’t be able to wear. Well maybe, I can wear this Peeptoe Bloomingdale Shoe in one of my dreams where I am an exotic dancer or something bwahahah!!

What about you, what’s your view on women having lots of shoes? Do you also have a little Imelda in you? Don’t be shy to admit it girl….. ;)

Are you influenced by the latest trends?

Are you affected by the latest trends? I’d like to say I am not but I must admit that sometimes I do get influenced by what celebrities wear. Isn’t it that when we see that a  celebrity is wearing it- we tend to want to have it too?

I don’t do it very often though. Most of the time I buy classic pieces of clothing so I can use it for a longer period of time. I won’t even mind buying ladies designer clothing if  it’s something that is timeless and if the price is reasonable. I mean – I am not gonna buy something on credit. Like I told you in my other blog, we don’t spend money that we don’t have in our bank.

Anyway, summer is coming here in Asia and was looking around for a pretty maxi dress that I can wear during the day and I saw this one below at Desigual Clothes. It looks cute and bold.

Long dresses are in trend this year… I think it’s really cute especially for when I get pregnant. What about you, are you affected by the latest trends?
