Missing our Sauna
What we really miss from our home in The Netherlands is our very own sauna. We have one right in our very own backyard. My B-I-L who was married at that time with a Finnish woman built one for us. Finland is famous for their saunas. In the beginning, I didn’t really like it because it gets really hot but after awhile I got used to it. And besides sauna are very good for our skin.
To have your own home sauna is a better alternative to going on a gym or spa just to use the sauna. You might think it is expensive but I tell you it is worth the money.
Main benefits of having home saunas:
1. Money – Well you only need to invest in it once for the installation and if you compare the expense of a spa or gym membership – the cost is definitely lower.
2. Privacy – I like the fact that I know that we are the only ones using our sauna and w is not used by strangers. Because not a lot of people use it , it is always clean and sanitary and safe environment is ensured.
3. Convenience – This is great especially during winter months. To have a sauna at home means we can access it whenever we want. Whether there’s snow storm going on – we can still go tour sauna. With the easy access also means a person will be more likely to use it more often, so they will get more healthy benefits from it than they would a gym or spa sauna.
Here in Singapore, we are renting so there’s no way we can have a home sauna but we are definitely gonna have one in the house we are going build in our planatation.
What about you, do you like going to the sauna?
No Blogging on Weekends!
I have a confession – I am a blogaholic.
And because of that I have sort of neglected my house especially the pile of clothes I need to iron and my health (have so many pimples in my face now) the last couple of weeks because of too much blogging. My hubby also said that I have been very quickly irritated the the last couple of weeks and short in some occasions toward him. I agree and I am sorry about that.
So I decided to make this rule:
NO BLOGGING ON WEEKENDS!
I am making this rule for myself but it can be applied on other stuff too like NO WATCHING SQUAWK BOX.
In today’s hectic world,it’s easy to forget what matters most which is the family and yourself. It is important to spend qaulity time with your loved one each week. Stress and anxiety – if you let it take over your life may just ruin your life.
If you always feel tired and hassled – it’s probably time to ask yourself when was the last time you spent quality time to re-connect with your loved one?
Life is not about how much you earn or how famous you are – it’s about living it with somebody whom you love.
NO BLOGGING WEEKEND has started last week which in my opinion ion has been a success. Hubby and I worked together on packing some of our stuff and then later on we went to the city to have lunch and take a stroll in town.
So I hope you understand if I couldn’t comment back at your blogs right away.
