As for me, been really busy last week. I don’t know what got into me but I finished two sewing projects for the first time which were boxer shorts for J.
I did attempt to make some blouses for myself after my sewing lessons but somehow I got impatient and just left it unfinished. These two short however were finished in three days. I cannot believe it was so easy and J was pretty happy with it.
I will try to finish some of these other projects too one of these days.
And then on top of my 2 sewing accomplishments, I also made my very first cupcake or is it muffins? What’s the difference actually?
Okay, what I actually made was a cupcake according to Dianna’s website because it had an icing or frosting ( whatever you want to call it) on top.
Some say cupcakes have frosting. A basic formula for muffins is 2 cups flour, 2-4 tablespoons sugar, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, 1/4 cup oil, shortening or butter, 1 cup milk. When the fat, sugar and egg ratio in a recipe reaches double or more than this, you have reached the cake level.
My cupcake is not the prettiest but I am kinda proud of myself for getting it right on first try. I still need to practice though
To be honest, I prefer muffins over cupcakes. I especially like Blueberry muffins I had when I was in Texas for a visit.
What about you, what do you prefer muffins or cupcakes?
On the F1 race – they luckily had a great weather. On Friday, we picked up my stepson coming from Holland and then we went straight to the city to have dinner. We walked around a bit and ended up being near the gates of the F1 race. Jeezzz, the sounds of the car were so loud, I thought I’d go deaf.
Anyway, for your information a Spaniard named Fernando Alonso won the first night race.
