The Duggar Family – a Family of 20

I love big families. I don’t know if we will be blessed to have them too…we’ll see. Right now I have been spending a lot of time watching Family Shows on Home Discovery Channel’s Home & Health.
One of my favorites is the Duggar Family. They have a total of 18 kids at the moment, yes you read it right 18 kids. Michelle gave birth to their 18th child on December 18, 2008.
Now some of you might think how can they manage so many… before you make any assumptions I’ll tell you a bit of what I have know from watching their show.
Jim and Michelle Duggar are religious people and have let God decide the size of their family. They impart good values to their children. They are also very organized – you would think that in such a big family, it would be a big chaos. Michelle has a done a marvelous job in having a good organization in the family.
And how can they financially sustain the family ? Jim is an real estate investor and is also involved in local politics. So no they don’t rely on government aid.
I just wonder how they go on vacation or outing with so many kids. I think that to go on holidays, an rv or bus would be the most economical choice for their traveling and lodging. I don’t know if one would be enough for all of them but it sure would be cheaper than to go to a hotel.
Anyway if you want to know more about them, head on to their website: Duggar Family.
Work at Home business – Quit Your Day Job or Do it Part Time?
There are many jobs from home that are available on the net. You have type at home jobs, data entry jobs, translation jobs, and many more.
For me blogging is one of the best ways to start a Work at Home business because it is so easy to start and with very little investment too. This is ideal for moms who stay at home to take care of the kids and for people who doesn’t want to work for a boss like me.
As I said, it is easy to get it started but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is easy to make money from your blog. Don’t expect to see money rolling in immediately when you have just started your blog. It will take time to build it up to a profit level. With time and attention, your blog will grow into a profitable business. I am talking from experience here.
In the beginning, I created websites just for fun but after sometime I found out about the vast opportunities available on the net.
My advice is to start learning first your way around the blogosphere. Read blogs and interact with other bloggers in blogs, forums and on online communities. Do not stress too much and don’t think about the money for now.
When you have enough knowledge and already have established site with regular visitors – then that’s the time you should consider making it a full time work from home business.
Glasses are hot!
I used to hate wearing eyeglasses. But I don’t have a choice. I don’t like wearing contact lenses either because they are very risky – next thing you know you are blind.
I am not yet suitable for lasik surgery either so I guess I just need to live with wearing eyeglasses.
Anyway, I stopped thinking and convinced myself that eyeglasses are not stupid. Nowadays wearing eyeglasses are not considered to be geeky anymore. Eyeglasses now comes in cute styles. Lots of spectacles shop have Wide Selection of Eyeglasses that would suit your personality and style.
Some tips on maintaining a your glasses and keep it fab :
1. Take time for a regular eye exam. Nothing ruins your look like squinting!
2. Keep your eyeglasses clean. Nothing spoils your look like dirty lenses. Make a daily ritual of cleaning .
3. Don’t use your shirt to clean your lenses. 50 plus percent of people clean their glasses with their clothing. Dust and particles in clothes can scratch lenses. Use the appropriate disposable cleaning fabric for cleaning.
4. Use your eyeglass case. If you need to take your glasses off, put them in their case. to avoid scratching.
5. Make sure you wear goggles when doing do-it-yourself projects. Sawdust and plaster dust can damge your lenses during cleanup. And if you get paint spatters on your spectacle- to clean it with rubbing or chemicals can damage the lens too.
